I took the opening lines of Shakespeare's Sonnet 116 for this design.
The base illustration is a couple that are resting their heads against each other.
The goal was to make the hair lively and realistic.

Great care was put into creating realistic highlights and shadows in the hair.
The tones and strokes combine to create a realistic texture and flow.
