The scene above was edited within Photoshop to appear as if it were painted.
This was accomplished by utilizing custom brushes within Photoshop.
The mirror was left purposefully untouched.
The original project is 72 x 48 inches (5184 x 3456 px) in RGB.
The image above is the original photograph that I worked from.
I set up the room, and the shot in a way that I thought was most interesting.
The shelf and couch create a dark border along the left and bottom of the scene.
The light falloff makes for a warm and dynamic scene.
The image above features all of the brush strokes that were layered over the photograph.
I created custom brushes that blended color well, as well as creating the texture I desired.
